HI! My name is Rosanna and WELCOME to my new blog for CheerUps! Folkart. Beginnings are a wonderful mix of Thrill and Adventure. (and a little trepidation for good measure.) I am still learning to upload photos and making things pretty around the blog but this will come with practice.
CheerUps! has existed in one form or another for nearly 30 years. I love creating and now have a new way to share with you and hope you will share with me as well.
The business is now "real" and is both in my home and at the store front location inside Warm Hearts Yarn, 13 Sherwood Avenue, White Rock, NM.
CheerUps! started at my kitchen table with Christmas bread dough ornaments. My husband was just starting college, our son was 6 months old and Christmas was coming. I found directions for some cute dough ornaments, entered a community Holiday craft show in Ephraim, Utah and so began what turned into 30 years of wonderful creating bliss The business still carries bread dough creations during the holidays but has evolved to encompass the artistic challenge to "recreate" and "re-purpose" wonderful old items into treasures to be Re Loved.
I am an Artistic ReInventionist with a flair for the eclectic. Stay posted for alot of fun and if all goes well photos of the journey.
